Brush Strokes Gallery Features "Influences" Exhibit

824 Caroline St Brush Strokes Gallery - Down the Hall

Fredericksburg VA 22401

If any artist is asked how they were first inspired to pursue their career or avocation, chances are they will cite a particular work by another artist--sometimes someone who is famous but, often, a personal acquaintance who, virtually or literally, served as a mentor in their lives. In some cases, the artist pursued a style or medium similar to that of the person who influenced them; In others, the impact of the mentors was related to  their attitude to their subjects or the process of creation itself.

Throughout January, Brush Strokes Gallery will present an exhibit titled "Influences" in which each of our members  will display a work by that "special person," side by side with one of their own creations. Visitors will have an opportunity to understand a deeper aspect of the gallery's artists that is reflected in their work--"The Heart behind the Art."

The "Influences" exhibit will be displayed from January 2nd through January 27th, and visitors will have an opportunity to meet and chat with our artists at the exhibit’s opening reception on “First Friday,” January 4th, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Visit Brush Strokes Gallery at 824 Caroline Street, open daily from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, to view the special exhibit  and our artists' creations in a spectrum of mediums, including hand-crafted jewelry, unique glass art, charcoal drawings, pastels, photography, and paintings in oils, watercolors, acrylics, and mixed-media.
