Wednesday, November 7 - World Aflame: A Hometown in Two Worlds War Tour

To celebrate Veteran's Day and the centennial anniversary of Armistice Day, FAM will host a tour of its exhibition, World Aflame: A Hometown in Two World Wars. Participants will have the opportunity to tour FAM’s Word Aflame exhibition before it closes on December 31. 
This guided tour by historian and exhibition curator John Hennessy, will touch upon the stories of those that lived through the world wars and those that never returned. FAM Members are invited to attend FREE of charge. Tickets are $10 for non-members and can be purchased in advance or that evening. RSVPs are highly recommended as tickets are limited. Friday, November 9 - Stafford Armed Services Memorial Ceremony

Stafford County invites all veterans and their families to a Veterans Day Ceremony on Friday, November 9, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. at the memorial, located to the rear of the George L. Gordon, Jr., Government Center just off the Courthouse Road and Route 1 (1300 Courthouse Road, Stafford, VA 22554).

Central Rappahannock Regional Library - Hosted by Museum of Valor. Military history exhibit focusing on the 100th anniversary of the final year of World War One.

Sunday, November 11 from 4am to 6pm | Veterans Day Fishing Tournament

A competitve bass fishing team tournament for all veterans and their supporters. Held every Veterans Day on Lake Anna, Virignia. More details here:

Old Mill Park. In support of Team Red, White, & Blue. Enjoy this great American holiday with a scenic 5k/10k that will run alongside the Rappahannock River in historic Fredericksburg. Register here.

Sunday, November 11 at 10am | Fredericksburg Veterans Day Procession

To honor the contributions of our United States Veterans 
Procession Route: Along Washington Ave. From Mary Ball St. to George St. Public (family members and non-veterans) are invited to view the procession along Washington Avenue and then join the Veteran’s Day Commemoration at the Fredericksburg Area War Memorial (George St.). Free admission to the procession and the commemoration. Held rain or shine.
