You better watch out and you better not cry, better not pout I’m telling you why… Santa Claus is already in town! Actually… forget his no-nonsense reputation, guys. Santa’s always ready to hear your Christmas wishes and post a selfie, regardless of where you fall on The List.
So bake your cookies and muster your cheer. We’ve narrowed his appearances down, to those very near.
I.e.: right here in Fredericksburg.
Find him in Downtown- Mr. and Mrs. Claus can usually be found strolling around downtown, enjoying the merrily decorated storefronts and getting a little gift inspiration. You better be on your best behavior. You never know when you might run into him!
He’s at the Spotsylvania Towne Centre - There are few things more iconic than the Mall Santa. You can get your kid’s picture taken with him in the big green chair, from Nov 10th - Dec 24th. We suggest viewing the Concert In Lights beforehand to get everyone in the Christmas mood!
At a parade!- Santa wouldn’t miss the chance to be the closing act of a parade! You can find him bringing down the house at the Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania Christmas Parades, Dec 1st. He wall also be at the Stafford Christmas Parade, Dec 15th.
At Christmas In Stafford- This year, Stafford County is starting a really fun tradition! Before the parade there will be a 5k, Christmas Village, Tree Lighting, and of course… pictures with Santa. You won’t want to miss this!
Reading “Twas The Night Before Christmas” at the Children’s Christmas Tree Lighting - Nov 24th- The man himself arrives to light the tree and read, “Twas The Night Before Christmas,” in the most Fredericksburg way possible… In a downtown trolley! Join Santa and the City of Frederickburg, Frederickburg VA Main Street, and Frederickburg Parent and Family Magazine for crafts, games, treats, and carols before the main event. This is a FREE event.
Getting breakfast- The man loves cookies, but he has a soft spots for flapjacks! You can get breakfast with Santa at special events at Eileen's Bakery & Cafe (tickets JUST went on sale!), the Rappahannock Rotary Club, and Malawi’s Pizza. This is a great option if your little ones are afraid of Santa or are maybe a little shy. Breakfasts with Santa are always a much more relaxed, pressure free atmosphere. Tickets MUST be purchased beforehand. Click on the locations' websites or check out their Facebook Pages for details.
At Belvedere Plantation- Have a good old fashioned meet up with Santa at the farm! The kids can play outside, roast marshmallows, drink cocoa, and of course sit on Santa’s lap and give him their wish list while you snap a few pictures. Tickets are available you must bring your own camera.
