Olde Towne Carriage Tours
The clip-clop of a horse’s hooves is the perfect soundtrack to listen to as you hear the stories behind Fredericksburg’s most historic buildings. Carriage tours leave several times a day from Caroline Street in front of the Fredericksburg Visitor Center. Tours last 45 minutes and cost $18 per person. Trolley Tours of Fredericksburg
A 75-minute tour to learn about interesting people that have lived here, the monuments, and the history of Fredericksburg, VA. Tours can be purchased at the Visitor Center the day and can be purchased in advance here.
Fredericksburg has been called one of the most haunted cities in America, and these tours will take you to the places where spirits have been said to lurk. Along the way, you’ll learn about the city’s history and see some of its finest architecture.
Tours led by costumed guides start at the Fredericksburg Visitor Center Parking lot and cost $12 per person (free for children under 7). 2018 tour season begins on May 25th.

The Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park offers these tours every Friday at 7 p.m. through the summer. The tours focus on areas rarely visited or stories rarely told.

Hallowed Ground Tours
Veteran tour guide Scott Walker leads his Bricks and Boards in the Burg tours every Saturday at 10 a.m., April through October. Tours cost $7 per person and start in Market Square in Downtown Fredericksburg, accessible from the corner of Princess Anne and William streets. Over the course of this easy 8-block stroll, Walker educates participants on the history and architecture of Fredericksburg's nationally recognized Historic District.
Flavors of Fredericksburg Food Tours

For those looking to explore the region’s waterways, there are many options. The Virginia Outdoor Center offers a series of paddling and climbing classes to get you comfortable taking your travels to the next level. Find their schedule here. VOC also provides guided trips and river rentals.

Lake Anna State Park offers programs that are held Wednesday through Sunday from Memorial Day to Labor Day and on various weekends the rest of the year. Programs include canoe tours, panning for gold, gold mine tours, children in nature, geo-caching and more. Check out the listings here.
