Whether you take on the region one winery at a time, hop onboard a Trolley Wine Tour or follow the Grapes & Grain Trail, every sip along the way will win you over.

Bacchus Winery and Tasting Room is a boutique operation offering as many as 25 different varieties. You can walk through production areas, enjoy a free tasting and even make your own wine onsite.

Eden Try Estate Winery will tempt you to a site of abundant natural beauty to enjoy events and handcrafted wines. Hop onto the Trolley Tour for a chance to tour Spotsylvania’s newest winery on this private estate.

Hartwood Winery is a true Virginia farm winery on 12 acres in Stafford County. Home to a large deer population, Hartwood offers free tours and tastings, along with the perfect setting for a picnic.

Lake Anna Winery is surrounded by scenic vistas, historic sites and popular recreation areas. Tour the restored barn used for production, sample the Washington Merlot or the Spotsylvania Claret and check out events at the winery including the Virginia Renaissance Faire each spring.

Mattaponi Winery honors the tribe once ruled by Chief Powhatan, father of Pocahontas, with its name and its heritage of award-winning fruit wines. Along with classics like Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon, dessert specialties like the Pow Wow Chocolate Covered Strawberry Wine will surprise you.

Potomac Point Winery offers a taste of the Mediterranean on a historic site just a mile from the Potomac River. Take in the natural beauty on a tour of the winery before stopping in to check out Le Grand Cru Bistro’s seasonal menu where all of the ingredients are locally sourced. From the richly detailed tasting room and courtyard, to the dog-friendly estate grounds, the experience is as fine as the wine.

Wilderness Run Vineyards is a farm winery located near the Wilderness Battlefield. Stop by Thursday through Monday to discover French style wines created with new age and old world techniques, check out music on the grounds and visit the farm.

A. Smith Bowman Distillery is located in the region where early colonists once created their own spirits, the tradition continues at this historic family-owned distillery. A. Smith Bowman Distillery creates a range of handcrafted small-batch premium products, beautifully bottled and labeled with their signature “Pioneer Spirit.” Take a tour to see the operation, sample a tasting and enjoy the Music & Spirits concert series.

Fredericksburg Area Breweries

Adventure Brewing Co. creates full-flavored microbrews and hosts popular events at its tasting room in Stafford. Stop by for a flight or pint and check out the food trucks on the scene - with a ride range of seasonal specialties, there's always something new on tap. Or, grab a pint at Adventure Brewing Co. South and enjoy a large array of options, ranging from their year-round Classic Lager to their Stonewall Stout.

Spencer Devon Brewing is the area’s newest craft brewery, pairing their diverse selection of brew styles with chef-created appetizers, main courses and desserts in downtown Fredericksburg. In the spirit of local food love, the restaurant offers A. Smith Bowman cocktails in addition to pints, flights and growlers of its Sunken Road Belgian Blonde, Rappahannock River Water Brown Ale and other craft brew creations.
