DESCRIPTION

Landscape and Architecture at Historic Kenmore:
An Archaeologist’s Perspective from the Cheap Seats.

On the first Wednesday of every month, take a tour of Kenmore with our history experts as they uncover the mysteries of Kenmore. David Muraca, Vice President of Museum Content and Chief Archaeologist, will lead the October tour as he discusses the architecture of Kenmore.

David Muraca has spent the last 18 years directing Archaeology at Historic Kenmore and Ferry Farm. He helped lead the search for the Washington House and is an expert on colonial life in Virginia.

His tour will explore how Kenmore’s architecture and landscape were used to establish the social position of the Washington/Lewis family in colonial Fredericksburg.

Reservations are encouraged as space is limited, but walk-ins are welcome.
