Fredericksburg is one of the oldest and most haunted cities in America. Local folklore speaks of apparitions on Sunken Road, at Chatham Manor, Fall Hill, and in various homes in the historic district. People even claim to hear voices of Thomas Jefferson and other colonial leaders, in the corridors of the Rising Sun Tavern. In fact, there are enough paranormal occurrences and ominous locations, that multiple haunted tours have opened for business.

Want to enjoy a ghostly evening, but not with an actual ghost? Join a scary story event, a creepy tour under the city, or murder mystery night. Here are a few ways to experience the paranormal in Fredericksburg!

Ghost Tours

Fredericksburg Hauntings- This leisurely paced, 90-minute, guided tour through Fredericksburg covers many local haunted sites and their stories. Costumed guides walk you through haunted streets by candlelight, which adds a nice spooky touch. Not paranormal, but certainly spooky...

The Tunnel Vision Tour includes the building at 826 Caroline Street, and underground tunnel access in its basement.
